Joey Janela is shutting down any claims that he took damage in his chaotic fight with Dylan Bostic at GCW Indianapolis on January 31. While social media is flooded with takes on what went down, Janela has made one thing clearhe didnt get hit.
The first shot went behind my neck and the second didnt connect, Janela wrote on Twitter, dismissing any idea that Bostic landed anything significant. I wrestled him to the floor and put him in a clench and couldve choked him 100% out but they were beating him like a sack of potatos.
Janela also painted a picture of how things ended for Bostic, adding, He kept saying were good, were good then he was carried out like a baby with 4 different footprints on his face.
This latest statement follows Janelas earlier comments where he explained that he was ambushed while meeting fans at his merch table. Bostic stormed up and flipped the table over, leading to a wild exchange of blows before others stepped in. The fight didnt last long, but it left fans talkingand now debating whether Janelas version of events lines up with what they saw.
Janela also made it clear he has no intention of pressing charges. When asked directly about involving law enforcement, he simply replied, No. He later apologized to GCW for the scene, calling it embarrassing and insisting he never wanted to take the spotlight away from the event.
Bostic had been pushing for a fight since 2020, repeatedly challenging Janela to a boxing or MMA match after the two clashed over a controversial AEW pay dispute. Janela ignored him for years, but when Bostic confronted him in Indianapolis, things finally boiled over.
Now, Janela says hes done talking about it. This is the last I speak of this shit because it was fucking embarrassing, he wrote.
With Janela closing the door on the situation, the question iswill Bostic do the same, or is this feud far from over? Do you believe Janelas version of events, or do you think he took more damage than hes letting on? Drop your thoughts below!
