Two-time WWE Womens Champion Nia Jax recently spoke on the No-Contest Wrestling Podcast. One of the topics she spoke on was who has helped her through her career and impacted her in WWE.
The first name she gave was Tamina. The two were a tag team together in 2019.
Im gonna say first off its gonna be Tamina Snuka. She doesnt get the flowers she deserves, but that woman backstage is a pillar, a rock to so many of us. We call her Mama Bear because she is just a true Mama Bear. Shes kept me up when I need to stay up, positive when I was trying to be negative, hydrated when I was hungover [laughs]. I call her my sister because shes truly a sister, and she has kept me on the up and up. Even when I wasnt in the company for a little bit when nobody else was, said Jax. (Transcript Fightful)
Jax added more to her list including Charlotte Flair, Naomi, Bayley, and many more.
Charlotte Flair, shes helped me a lot. Shes a fitness guru, and when I was going through my fitness journey, she was there for me,she said. Naomi, Naomi has got a heart of gold. Shes a gem, a diamond in the rough that people dont realize. I put her on such a pedestal. I could list off, I have Bayley, Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, Sheamus is a good, solid buddy of mine, Drew McIntyre, The Usos, Roman. Theres so many people, especially backstage. Were a family back there. Were with each other so many days out of the year that we havent to be supportive because at the end of the day, 90 percent of the time, were traveling, and were in hotels and airplanes and cars. We have to have each others back, so theres a lot of people. I have support in all aspects in this wrestling business, and Im very blessed.
Jax returned to WWE in 2023 after two years away from the company. She has since won Queen of the Ring and defeated Bayley at SummerSlam to become WWE Womens Champion. She lost the title in January to Tiffany Stratton after Stratton cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase.
