The 2025 WWE Royal Rumble premium live event took over Lucas Oil Stadium this year. Indianapolis was more than ready to show the world how passionate their city is for pro wrestling, and they were on the edge of their seats for the Royal Rumble match. After everything was said and done, Jey Uso shocked the world with the biggest win of his career.
The 2025 Mens Royal Rumble match was promoted as the biggest match of its kind that the company has ever produced. Going into the show, we already had a list of shoo-in Hall of Famers, all ready to punch their ticket to WrestleMania 41. After Charlotte Flair won the Womens Royal Rumble match to kick off the event, fans were more than ready to see the mens match.
The announced entrants for the 2025 Mens Royal Rumble match as of showtime, were LA Knight, John Cena, CM Punk, Jey Uso, Roman Reigns, Seth Freakin Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Rey Mysterio, Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, Logan Paul, Penta, Chad Gable, Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, Damian Priest, Santos Escobar, and Jacob Fatu.
The Mens Royal Rumble match closed out the show this year. The contest went on after Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens brutal ladder match.
Rey Mysterio drew the first entry, with Penta coming out second. This gave the two luchadors a chance to show off as things got started. Then Chad Gable came out next to interrupt the lucha party. Carmelo Hayes drew the fourth spot in the match this year.
The fifth spot went to Santos Escobar, making the third luchador in the match. He took the fight to Rey Mysterio by hitting a 6-1-9, but the fans didnt like that. Then Penta ate a Mexican Destroyer from Escobar in a very strong showing. Otis entered the match next, which was even more bad news for Chad Gable.
Fans popped big time for Bron Breakker in the seventh spot of the match as the WWE Intercontinental Champion made his way out. Then Otis got some backup as Akira Tozawa entered in the 9th spot, but Carmelo Hayes knocked him out as he left the stadium in a huff after his elimination. So, Tozawa never officially entered the match, so IShowSpeed took his place in the match for a very short entry until Bron Breakker destroyed him.
Sheamus made his way to the ring as the ninth entrant. Jimmy Uso came in the tenth spot. Andrade came out in the eleventh spot. Jacob Fatu entered twelfth, and he immediately started shaking things up. Then Ludwig Kaiser came out thirteenth for his second career Royal Rumble match. The Miz had the fourteenth spot to make his sixteenth Royal Rumble appearance.
TNA World Champion Joe Hendry came out in the fifteenth spot, and he received a huge pop. Roman Reigns came out next to start cleaning house. It was soon down to just Jacob Fatu and Roman Reigns for a bit as Penta remained laid out in the corner. Then Drew McIntyre came out in the seventeenth slot to break up this battle.
The eighteenth spot went to Finn Balor, and number nineteen was WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura. Jey Uso came out next to have all of Lucas Oil Stadium YEETING along. AJ Styles made his big return in the twenty-first spot. Braun Strowman came out next, and he eliminated Jacob Fatu. Then John Cena came out, followed by CM Punk in the twenty-fourth spot.
Seth Rollins came out in the twenty-fifth spot in the match, and the entire stadium was singing his song. Then, Dominik Mysterio entered in the twenty-sixth slot to a sea of boos. Sami Zayn entered the match in the twenty-seventh place, with Damian Priest coming out in twenty-eighth.
The twenty-ninth spot in the 2025 Mens Royal Rumble match went to LA Knight. Then the final entry went to Logan Paul. At that point, they were down to 10 competitors in the match.
The match continued until Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest were taken out of the match. Logan Paul jumped over and stood on the announce table as the match continued. Then AJ Styles eliminated LA Knight, and Paul tripped up Styles to take him out of the match.
Jey Uso, John Cena, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Logan Paul, and CM Punk were the last men in the match as the final six. Then, Rollins and Reigns had a chance to face off as they laid out the rest of the field. As the two were hung up in the ropes, CM Punk eliminated both former Shield members. Then Logan Paul tossed Punk out.
The final three in the match were Logan Paul, Jey Uso and John Cena. As Seth Rollins and CM Punk brawled at ringside, WWE officials tried to separate them. Then Rollins nailed a stomp on Roman Reigns on the steel ring steps before he brawled with Punk some more.
The Royal Rumble match kept going in the ring as the three men who were left got back to their feet. Jey Uso and Logan Paul squared off first, and fans in Lucas Oil Stadium yelled YEET with every move Uce executed on The Maverick. Then Cena picked both Logan and Jey up, and John clotheslined Logan over the top rope.
With Jey Uso and John Cena left in the ring, fans knew they were about to witness history. They soaked up the moment, but then got to action. After a back-and-forth between the two, they both ended up on the apron. Then Jey Uso was able to knock Cena off to win the match and point at the WrestleMania 41 sign.
We will have to see what WWE does on the road to WrestleMania 41 at this rate. The 2025 Mens Royal Rumble certainly kicked off the biggest season in the companys year in a big way.
