Alexa Bliss made her successful return to WWE in the Royal Rumble match on Saturday. Getting a huge response from the crowd, commentary also trolled the dirt sheets about getting Bliss return wrong. However, not all dirt sheets were wrong. In fact, according to Fightful Select, both PWInsider and the Wrestling Observer were accurate in their reports on Bliss this past week. Those reports included both sides coming to terms with a new contract for Bliss.
Fightful Select goes on to report that as of Saturday, other participants didnt even know Bliss was set to return. She wasnt even at the rehearsal. Who was there and slated for Bliss spot was Shotzi.
Shotzi was originally planned for the Royal Rumble. This would have been her first main roster appearance since last years Royal Rumble. She missed significant time with a knee injury, and returned to NXT since teaming with Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley.
Those Fightful spoke to didnt hold anything against Alexa Bliss and were happy to see her back. There were some that felt bad about how it played out for Shotzi.
