At this past Happy Sllam, one of the most intense matches came in the second round of the women's event.

After winning three qualifying matches and also winning her main draw opener, Australia's Aiava got a chance to play against Collins.

And although she competed pretty well, the world No. 171 ultimately fell short in three sets as the world No. 12 won 7-6 (4) 4-6 6-2.

Throughout the match, the Australian Open crowd and the American were going back and forth - and at one point - the 31-year-old even told someone from the crowd to "shut up."

After sealing the win, the 2022 Australian Open runner-up celebrated passionately as she blew kisses and sarcastically thanked the crowd for paying her bills and securing a nice vacation.

"I do know there was some hecklers in between her serves which I feel like is to be expected especially playing someone from the home country of a Grand Slam."

After the match, the American also claimed that that there were "a lot of people who were super drunk."

Asked if everything was fine between her and Collins, Aiava confirmed that "there was no bad blood" and revealed that the 31-year-old was "nice" toward her.

Also, the Australian made it clear that she personally had no issues with the American's remarks or acts.

I watched it and I didnt really feel any negativity towards it. I feel shes always you know being her authentic self and thats something that I always promote is just being true to yourself," Aiava said.
