Rory McIlroy has convinced golf fans that he could live up to expectations and do great things this season. The Northern Irishman celebrated at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, looking convincing and different than some seasons behind us.

Although it cannot be said that McIlroy looked bad last season, this season could be much more successful for him.
After the tournament, Rory shared his impressions with Amanda Balionis, stressing that he expected it to be difficult and exciting. Rory, on the other hand, remained calm, believing that he could make a success, and in the end he was rewarded for it.
'Some people would argue that the golf courses I have won on are are not up to a Pebble Beach or obviously an Augusta or whatever,' McIlroy joked, as quoted by Daily Mail.
'But to win at one of the cathedrals of golf is really really cool. I knew today was gonna be tough, it was gonna be exciting, there were so many guys around the lead.

And I guess I had to... with it being Pebble Beach I had to put it to the back of my mind and just go out there and try to shoot a score, which I was able to.
But yeah really cool - to have that walk up 18 to take it all in was really cool.'

Golf fans reacted quickly through social media to his interview with Amanda, focusing on last season and the rumors that Rory McIlroy was in a romantic relationship with her. Of course, the 35-year-old golfer denied such rumors , but some are still not sure about it.
Some think that this interview seemed strange, aiming that there was some kind of relationship between them.
Still, Rory doesn't care too much about that, happy to celebrate and take an important step towards success this season.
