Kevin Owens just cemented his place in WWE historybut not in the way hed want. After losing yet another WWE Championship match at the 2025 Royal Rumble, Owens has officially joined one of the most embarrassing clubs in company history.

Taking on Cody Rhodes in a Ladder Match, Owens had every opportunity to finally claim the Undisputed WWE Championship. He landed a low blow on Rhodes late in the match, but it wasnt enough. Rhodes turned the tables, planted Owens with an Alabama Slam off the announce table through a ladder, and climbed to retrieve the title, keeping his reign alive.

With this latest failure, WWE Stats confirmed that Owens now joins the rare and humiliating list of wrestlers who have challenged for the WWE Championship 10 or more times without ever winning it. The only other names in this unfortunate group? Don Muraco and Dolph Ziggler.

Despite being a former Universal Champion, Owens has never been able to capture the WWE Championship. Hes had multiple chances, including at Bash in Berlin and Saturday Nights Main Event, but time and time again, he comes up short.

Kevin Owens may be one of WWEs toughest competitors, but at this point, his record in WWE Championship matches is getting harder to ignore. Falling short 10 times and counting puts him in some brutal company, and unless he finds a way to change the narrative, he risks being remembered not as a champion, but as the guy who just couldnt get the job done.

Do you think Owens will ever break the curse, or is he destined to stay on this humiliating list forever? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
