Drew McIntyres wild week just took another turnafter storming out of the Royal Rumble, hes reportedly on his way to WWE SmackDown as part of WWEs new transfer window system.
According to PWInsider, WWE had plans for months to move McIntyre to the blue brand, and unless theres a last-minute change, thats exactly where hell be landing. His Raw farewell match appears to have been his victory over Sami Zayn on the Royal Rumble go-home episode, marking the end of a long stint on the red brand.
McIntyres last SmackDown appearance was nearly a year ago, where he faced LA Knight on February 23, 2024. Now, after his messy Rumble exit and reported frustration over being placed in a WrestleMania 41 feud with Damian Priest, a fresh start on SmackDown might be exactly what he needs.
His Royal Rumble meltdown became a major talking point, as sources claim he blew up backstage, yelling about an errant movement from LA Knight that allegedly messed up the timing of his elimination. McIntyre reportedly stormed out of the building before the match even ended, adding even more fuel to speculation that hes unhappy with his creative direction.
Meanwhile, other major names have shifted brands during WWEs first-ever transfer window, including Braun Strowman, Bayley, The Miz, A-Town Down Under, R-Truth, Logan Paul, The Wyatt Sicks, and Zelina Vega. The window officially closed at the Royal Rumble, making McIntyre one of the last confirmed moves.
Now the big question iswill McIntyre embrace this SmackDown switch and find his way into a bigger WrestleMania feud, or will this move just add to his frustration? Should WWE push him into a top spot on the blue brand, or is this the beginning of an even bigger problem with The Scottish Warrior? Drop your thoughts below!
