Injuries are always a risk in professional wrestling, and they can happen at any moment. Depending on how serious they are, wrestlers may need to take a long break. Unfortunately, it appears that an AEW star was injured during the Chris Jericho Cruise.
According to a report by PWInsider, Dynamite Kid Tommy Billington suffered an injury while competing at an event on the Jericho Cruise this weekend. The exact details of the injury are unclear, but he was kept out of yesterdays live events as a precaution.
The 2025 Chris Jericho Rock N Wrestling Rager At Sea started on January 31 and will be continuing until February 4th. A lot of matches have already taken place during the event, including a tournament. As part of that tournament, Tommy Billington defeated former WWE star Elijah to advance but now his future in pro wrestling is uncertain following this injury.
Tommy Billington signed with AEW back in 2024 and has been largely used for important title contenders matches on AEW as well as ROH shows so far. This included a loss to Katsuyori Shibata at ROH Final Battle last year.
Nevertheless, it remains to be seen how severe the injury is and how long Billington may need to recover. AEW has yet to release an official update on his condition, but fans are hopeful for a speedy return to action.
