AC Milan are closing in on a loan deal for Chelsea forward Joo Flix, a source has told ESPN.
The 25-year-old is expected to move to Italy in an agreement which would see Milan pay a loan fee in the region of 2m-3m ($2m-$3m). The Serie A club would also be paying all of his wages.
Flix had attracted interest from several other clubs including Aston Villa but Chelsea's preference has always been for the Portugal international to join a club outside England.
Flix only joined Chelsea last August in a 50m deal from Atltico Madrid to begin his second spell at the club after spending the second half of the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Stamford Bridge.
However, Flix has started just three Premier League games under head coach Enzo Maresca and is keen on kickstarting his career at a new club.
Should a deal by finalised, Flix will become Milan's second signing in the current window after Kyle Walker's arrival from Manchester City.
