Rory McIlroy is ready to do great things in the future, and the victory at the last tournament, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, speaks volumes about the ambitions of the 35-year-old golfer. With this victory, Rory showed that he will be a great danger for opponents in the current season.

In an interview with the media, the Northern Irishman referred to the conversation on the golf course with Harry Diamond, his caddy, who presents a huge support and wind at the Northern Irishman's back.
"I said to Harry (Diamond, his caddie) walking up the last, start as you mean to go on," he said, as quoted by MIRROR.
"I'm just as determined this year in any of the years I've been out here on the PGA Tour and to get this win this early it means a great deal and hopefully just keep the momentum going into Torrey Pines in a couple of weeks' time."
Rory McIlroy is optimistic:I'm pretty close
Despite his great results, the golfing public is often quick to put 'Rory under the knife'. Despite this, the 35-year-old is still motivated and ready to take a big step this season, and winning a Major would certainly be the highlight of the year. McIlroy believes he is close to his peak, especially after the last tournament, where he looked confident.

"Yeah I'm close, I'm pretty close.
I feel like I controlled my ball flight well in the crosswinds this week I drove the ball really well. I think I'll always nitpick and there's always things about my game that I want to try to get better, because that's just who I am," he continued.
If the day is known by the morning, we could be watching the best version of McIlroy. Some of the colleagues say that Rory is like wine: the older the better.
An experienced golfer confirms this year after year, but winning the Majors would be the best confirmation of it.
