The situation on the golf scene has not changed significantly in the last year and a half, at least when it comes to the agreement between the PGA Tour and PIF. Although the framework agreement was reached in 2023, there are still no indications that the final agreement will be reached.

Phil Mickelson, an important golf figure, during his last guest appearance on 'The Joe Pomp Show' reflected on the situation regarding the merger, feeling that the disruption will exist for some time.
Mickelson is not sure that things can be smoothed over easily, especially after the fierce conflicts between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf. Although tensions are lower than they used to be, one can still feel the affinity of golf fans towards the 'opposite side'.
I think its going to be a longer disruption period, Mickelson said as quoted by Golf.
Yeah, were three of four years in, but its going to take a little while for this partnership to work out. Its taken a while for them to come to an agreement."
Phil Mickelson gives his predictions
Despite the disagreements and chaos in this sport, Micken is sure that things will look much better when both sides sit down at the table and reach a final agreement. Phil once again emphasizes the globalization of sports, wanting LIV and the PGA Tour to become a global product.

"I think its going to take years for it to kind of play out. But when its all said and done, I think golf is going to be a better place. Because golf was really confined to the United States because of the PGA Tour. and it wasnt being utilized globally and they didnt have the resources and ability to make it global. Because LIV has come in and changed the model entirely.- he concluded.
It's really hard to give accurate predictions about when things will calm down, but it's clear that there must be a huge desire for something like this from both LIV and the PGA Tour.
