Sami Zayn took a serious beating on WWE RAW this week and couldnt leave the arena on his own.
The February 3rd episode from Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio, was all about setting up the road to Elimination Chamber, but for Zayn, it ended in disaster.
In the main event, Zayn went one-on-one with CM Punk in a hard-fought battle for a spot in the Elimination Chamber match. Zayn gave it everything he had, but Punk sealed the win with a GTS, securing his spot in the Chamber. After the match, Punk showed respect, shaking Zayns hand, but that moment of sportsmanship was short-lived.
As Punk and Zayn were leaving the ring, a battered and bruised Kevin Owens came out of nowhere and attacked his longtime best friend. The assault was vicious, and in the chaos, Punk got taken out as well. Owens wasnt donehe delivered a devastating Package Piledriver on Zayn before walking off, leaving him motionless in the ring.
The aftermath was brutal. WWE medics rushed out to check on Zayn, and things looked serious. He had to be stretchered out of the arena, while Punk watched on, visibly concerned.
Owens and Punk already had a heated confrontation on SmackDown before the Royal Rumble, and now this incident raises even more questions. Is WWE setting up a bigger story between Punk and Owens? And whats next for Sami Zayn after this brutal attack?
Do you think Kevin Owens just made a new enemy in CM Punk? Should Sami Zayn get revenge? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
