Taylor Fritz had made very significant progresses in the second half of 2024, reaching his first Grand Slam final at the US Open and losing only to current world No.1 Jannik Sinner.

That result combined with the semifinal reached at the Rolex Shanghai Masters and the final at the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin had allowed the American ace to enter the Top 5 of the ATP rankings for the first time in his career.
Fritz had also started the new year very well by shining at the United Cup and in the first rounds of the 2025 Australian Open, where he seemed to be able to reach at least the semifinals against defending champion Sinner.
However, Taylor disappointed expectations by losing to French veteran Gael Monfils in a match in which he was tactically harnessed by his opponent.
The French has used all his experience to expose the weaknesses of the American player, taking him to areas of the court where he still has several weaknesses.

The season is still long and Fritz has plenty of time to prove that the rise of 2024 was not just temporary or accidental.
Fritz has another huge passion
In addition to being a great tennis player, the 2024 US Open finalist has many interests off the court.
In a long interview with 'Racquet Magazine', Fritz reflected on his passion for the world of fashion that he shares with his girlfriend Morgan Riddle. The latter is a famous influencer, with 427,000 followers on Instagram.
"Ive always been very into fashion, to kind of have this off-court image and persona that people can see me, and connect to me when Im not playing tennis. Fashion, modeling, stuff like that is a great way to show peopleme," he explained.
He also spoke about his girlfriend: "Sometimes I ignore her advice. I do gravitate to a more casual LA/San Diego style streetwear. But I also like to dress up in a bit more classy style as well, which BOSS is an option for. I change it up for where Im at and the mood.
