In a move no one saw coming, Rybackone of CM Punks biggest criticsactually came to Punks defense after a fan took a shot at him on Twitter.
The fan posted a clip from Monday Night RAW, mocking CM Punks performance in his match against Sami Zayn. The tweet read:
Its so depressing watching CM Punk crawl his fragile body around the ring. He desperately needs to retire. #WWERaw
Given their long-standing real-life issues, many expected Ryback to pile on. Instead, he fired back at the fan, calling them out for their ignorance.
Its called selling you feed me moron. Good to see you fans are pieces of sh*t equally to everyone in the business though.
This is a wild shift from Rybacks usual stance on Punk. The two have traded years of public shots, with Punk once accusing Ryback of being reckless and taking years off his career. In a recent jab, Ryback even shaded Punk after Drew McIntyres head wound at WWE Bad Blood, implying that Punk was the dangerous one in the ring.
But this time, Ryback wasnt having it. Whether this is a rare moment of respect or just an acknowledgment of wrestling psychology, its definitely not what fans expected.
