Barcelona are aiming to reach the Copa del Rey semi-finals when they visit Valencia in the last eight of the competition on Thursday.
Hansi Flick's side have been in impressive form since returning form their winter break at the beginning of the new year and are now unbeaten in nine matches. They even won their first piece of silverware under the German coach by thrashing Real Madrid in the Supercopa de Espana final in January and they will be keen to make the Copa del Rey their second trophy of the campaign come the end of April.
Having beaten Valencia 7-1 less than two weeks ago, Barcelona should be confident visiting the Mestalla. Fermin Lopez bagged a double and was joined on the scoresheet by the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha during a thumping league win over Carlos Corberan's resurgent side.
Here is how Barcelona could line up midweek.
Barcelona predicted lineup vs Valencia (4-2-3-1)
GK: Wojciech Szczesny - Flick confirmed that Szczesny is Barcelona's first-choice in the absence of Marc-Andre ter Stegen despite an incredibly ropey start to his career in Spanish football.
RB: Jules Kounde - Luis Rioja may well line up against Kounde on Thursday and the 31-year-old is in red-hot form after his goal and assist at the weekend. Barcelona's right-back will have to be on high alert.
CB: Eric Garcia - Garcia replaced the sub-par Ronald Araujo at half-time against Deportivo Alaves at the weekend and the former Manchester City defender may come into the XI to allow his teammate a rest.
CB: Pau Cubarsi - Earned another clean sheet on Sunday following an excellent display against Alaves. Barcelona's high line means he always has to be prepared to use his athleticism and intelligence to snuff out direct attacks.
LB: Alejandro Balde - Balde was far more involved in the final third than in his own half at the weekend. He may perform a similar offensive-minded function against a Valencia side whose defensive issues were shown up by Barcelona at the end of last month.
DM: Marc Casado - Despite being substituted at half-time against Alaves, Casado may retain his starting berth at the weekend as Flick eyes an opportunity to rest Pedri.
DM: Frenkie de Jong - Casado's impressive rise has limited De Jong's minutes this term but the Dutchman started and scored against Valencia in the seven-goal thrashing.
RW: Lamine Yamal - A truly phenomenal season now stands at ten goals and 13 assists in all competitions, although he was restricted to just a single assist in last month's thrashing of Valencia.
AM: Fermin Lopez - Lopez scored a brace and registered two assists in the recent meeting with Los Che and could be handed a starting berth on Thursday with Dani Olmo only set for a cameo appearance at best. He's always lively when called upon.
LW: Raphinha - The deadly Brazilian has put most opponents to the sword this season and will fancy his chances of piling misery on Valencia in the cup. Dimitri Foulquier's potential absence at right-back will only offer him a further boost.
ST: Robert Lewandowski - The Polish sharpshooter decided Sunday's La Liga win and now boasts an astonishing 30 goals in 32 outings this term. He has scored seven in just five duels with Valencia previously.
