MJF and Jeff Jarrett had been engaged in an intense feud, exchanging personal insults over the past few weeks. Many fans expected the rivalry to last longer, but it seems the storyline has already reached its conclusion, with the angle ultimately being cut short.

While speaking onThe Hump, Sean Ross Sapp talked about how nothing in AEW is guaranteed to be fully greenlit. He explained that ideas are sometimes discussed with talent before being brought to Tony Khan, which isnt the approach Khan prefers. When ideas do reach him, he may approve them but often adjusts their duration or direction.

As an example, Sapp mentioned that the planned storyline between MJF and Jeff Jarrett was originally intended to last longer than it was going to. However, Tony Khan decided to shift focus towards a feud between MJF and Hangman Page.

MJF also insulted Jeff Jarrett after Jarrett failed to win a shot at the AEW World Title on Dynamite last week. During the February 5 episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF had an intense promo segment with Dustin Rhodes, making it clear MJFs feud with Jeff Jarrett came to an end.

While MJF will be feuding with Dustin Rhodes for now, its clear their endgame will feature MJF and Adam Page going head-to-head, so well have to see when they will finally face each other inside the ring again.

Do you think AEW made the right call by ending the MJF vs. Jeff Jarrett feud early? Are you excited to see MJF vs. Hangman Page instead? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
