Aliyah built a loyal fan base during her time in WWE, with many fans hoping she would reach new heights. However, after being released in September 2023, she has now accused 2K Games of using her likeness without permission by slightly altering the character model.
A fan on Twitter pointed out that Aliyah has remained in WWE 2K games even after her release, calling her the queen of staying in the series. They shared images comparing her original model from WWE 2K23, which was made when she was still with WWE, to two later charactersPsycho Sally and a character in WWE 2K25both of which appeared to use her model with minor changes, as they said, Aliyah queen of staying in WWE games even after getting released! #WWE2K25.
In a now-deleted tweet, Aliyah responded on Twitter, questioning the decision to slightly alter the character while still keeping the core design similar to her likeness. She compared it to the ongoing debate about AI-generated content as she accused 2K games of using her likeness with minor adjustments without her permission.
Aliyah has kept herself active in the world of professional wrestling following her WWE release, but its simply unfortunate that 2K games are reusing Aliyahs character model with slight alterations without her permission. Therefore, well have to see if Aliyah will be compensated for the same.
