Madison Keys has also withdrawn from Dubai and that means that she likely won't return to action until Indian Wells in March.

Shortly after becoming a Grand Slam champion at the Australian Open, the world No. 7 pulled out of the WTA 1000 tournament in Doha, which starts on Monday.
Today, the organizers of the WTA 1000 tournament in Dubai - which starts on 16th February - announced that the American would also skip their tournament due to a knee issue.
Since Keys also won't be allowed to compete at the WTA 250 tournament in Austin later this month due to an odd WTA rule, that means that she likely won't see action until Indian Wells starts on March 5th.
In the past, the 29-year-old made two Dubai appearances - she lost in the second round in 2021 before reaching the quarterfinal in 2023.
Keys felt a major relief after winning the Australian Open
Even before turning pro, the American was labeled as extremely talented and tipped to win a Grand Slam.

And after finally achieving the feat just before celebrating her 30th birthday this coming February 17th, the world No. 7 admitted she felt relieved.
"So I think it kind of almost felt like it went from being something positive to something that was almost, like, a little bit of a panic of, Why hasn't it happened yet? Why haven't I been able to do it?" Keys said in her post-final presser at Melbourne Park.
"It really started to kind of weigh on me more where it was, What if I never do it? If I don't do it, am I considered a failure?
"There was a lot of stuff that I had to, like, work through personally just with all of that just because of all of the pressure I was putting on myself with that."
