Pat Perez, a well-known face of the golf scene, was supposed to play this year at LIV Golf, for the fourth season in a row. However, the American golfer was 'dropped' from the 4Aces team, with Thomas Pieteres succeeding him in the team.

Perez will now be a reporter on the golf courses, and the question is how he will cope with his new role.
Although the 48-year-old golfer finished one place above the relegation zone, a lot has changed in his life in the last few months.
'Fairway to Heaven' was an opportunity for the experienced golfer to share his emotions regarding the sudden changes in his career. Perez admitted that he was surprised by the development of the situation, but admits that TV has always been his love.
"To be honest with you, it was a little more forced than I thought it was going to be. I'm going to be perfectly honest, I thought I was going to be playing this year and I'm not.
I've always thought about TV anyway because I did the Tiger-Phil match and YouTube stuff. I thought it would be there one day and it seemed like a couple of weeks ago was the day."- Pat Perez said, as quoted by Express.

Having a new role is not easy. Perez played golf for years, competing with big names and fighting for trophies. Finding yourself in a different role suddenly can sometimes be difficult. Still, Pat is happy about the new chapter in his career, aiming to learn from TV veterans like Foltz and Feherty.
The 48-year-old golfer could not hide his excitement.
"I'm actually looking forward to it. It's going to be nice to see the other side of it and learn the ins and outs of what it is, especially from people like [Jerry] Foltz and [David] Feherty and people have been part of the broadcast forever. I get to learn what it is and I'm excited about doing it."
