Dani Jordyn is officially stepping away from pro wrestling, revealing that she no longer has the passion to keep going.
The former AEW Dark competitor and Georgia indie standout took to social media to make the emotional announcement, explaining that she hasnt been in the right mindset for a while.
Id like to inform everyone that I am officially pulling out of pro wrestling. Im not in a great place mentally. Ive been struggling with that for a couple years now, Jordyn wrote.
She went on to share a moment of realization that made her decision clear.
Not too long ago I worked with someone I had been looking forward to working with. She gave me a great promo, & a great match. I gave her a shitty match & shitty promo because I didnt care to do more. It was so sad that I had no excitement about this show or what I was doing.
Jordyn admitted she had been forcing herself to love wrestling again for the past three years but ultimately realized she couldnt give her opponents or the fans anything less than 100%.
I realized that day thats not fair to my opponents or anyone else involved. Id want to give you all 100% of me, and I cant provide that. I love you all. Its been hard to let it all go cause Ive loved it for so long. But its time to try some new things.
Jordyn made it clear that this wasnt an easy choice, and part of what kept her in wrestling was how difficult it was to walk away.
Some people may think its annoying that Ive been one foot in/one foot out for a while..which is also hard to cope with. I hope everyone understands that I just found it way too hard to let go of. But its time. Ive reflected long enough. As of now, Im releasing it from my life and beginning a new and exciting chapter.
For years, Jordyn was a standout on the independent scene, bringing her Mean Girl persona to AEW and beyond. While shes closing the door on wrestling, shes made it clear that she has plenty of passions outside the ring and is ready for whatever comes next.
