Aliyah wants to set the record straight. After a now-deleted tweet sparked speculation that she was calling out WWE 2K Games for reusing her likeness in WWE 2K25, shes making it clearthat wasnt the case.
It all started when a fan pointed out that Aliyahs character model seemed to have been slightly altered but still resembled her. The fan shared side-by-side images, comparing her WWE 2K23 model to two newer characters, writing: Aliyah queen of staying in WWE games even after getting released! #WWE2K25.
Aliyah responded with a cryptic take, drawing a comparison to the ongoing debates about AI-generated content. Only slightly altering the character but the core design still represents my likeness or identity, is a choice. Aint this what the entire AI debacle is about? What a time to be alive.
That comment led to speculation that Aliyah was calling out WWE 2K Games for using her likeness without permission. But now, shes shutting all of that down.
On February 7, 2025, Aliyah directly responded to Ringside News coverage of the situation, denying that she was making accusations against WWE 2K Games.
I wasnt accusing anyone of anything, I was just trying to compare the situation to the ongoing debate about AI-generated content. Just like this clickbait headline she wrote.
With Aliyah clarifying her stance, it looks like this was more about a cultural debate than a direct shot at WWE 2K Games. Still, the conversation around AI and likeness rights in video games continues to be a hot topic.
