Luis Diaz has credited Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah for helping him grow as a player since arriving at Anfield.
Diaz made the switch from Porto in January 2022 but faced the daunting prospect of trying to force his way into one of the most famous forward lines in Premier League history. The trio of Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino helped elevate Jurgen Klopp's tenure to another level, but rather than fear the competition, the three players all did what they could to help Diaz adapt.
Now thriving in Arne Slot's iteration of the Reds, Diaz opened up on just how impactful Salah, Firmino and Mane were on his early months at the club.
"I remember during my first year here Liverpool's front three was Bobby, Sadio and Mo Salah," he told Sports Illustrated. "You obviously learn so much. These are players that even though they've won everything, they still try to teach you. 'You can improve here,' or 'Take your shot like this.' Those small details make all the difference and of course you still need to work on that on the pitch.
