Kevin Owens has officially committed his future to WWE, signing a five-year contract that ensures hell remain with the company through at least 2029.
Fightful Select confirmed that Owens new deal quietly went into effect on the day of the Royal Rumble, ending months of speculation about his next move.
Owens had been one of WWEs top free agents heading into 2025, with his previous contract set to expire either at the end of 2024 or early 2025. Many believed AEW could make a serious push to sign him, given his long-standing relationships with The Young Bucks, Adam Cole, and others in the company. However, WWE acted swiftly behind the scenes to lock Owens down before he could hit the open market.
The confirmation comes just hours after Owens seemingly teased the news on Twitter/X, where he humorously stated, If you guys help support my daughters Girl Scout troop by buying some cookies, I promise to keep wrestling for at least 4 years, 11 months, and 22 days more. While it sounded like a playful post at first, it turned out to be a veiled confirmation of his long-term commitment to WWE.
WWE clearly values Owens as a top star, and his renewed contract means hell remain a major fixture on television. The timing couldnt be more interesting, with WrestleMania 41 approaching fast.
