Friday Night SmackDown on February 7 is shaping up to be a massive night, and now the opening segment has been revealed. 2025 WWE Royal Rumble winner Jey Uso is set to kick off the show with an in-ring promo, setting the tone for a night packed with Elimination Chamber qualifying matches and a main event showdown.
As previously reported, SmackDown will feature both Mens and Womens Elimination Chamber qualifiers as WWE inches closer to Elimination Chamber 2025. The mens qualifying match will see Drew McIntyre, LA Knight, and Jimmy Uso battle it out in a triple threat match for a Chamber spot.
Theres a lot of tension heading into tonight, especially between McIntyre and Knight. Reports surfaced that McIntyre was furious after a Royal Rumble timing issue threw off his elimination by Damian Priest, derailing plans for a WrestleMania 41 feud. Backstage, McIntyre was said to be screaming over the situation, and now he finds himself in a must-win situation against Knight and Uso.
Alexa Bliss is wasting no time getting back into the action, as WWE has confirmed shell be competing in her first singles match since her surprise return at Royal Rumble 2025. Bliss is set to take on Candice LeRae in a Womens Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match on SmackDown, with a chance to punch her ticket to Elimination Chamber 2025.
With Elimination Chamber spots on the line and the aftermath of the Royal Rumble still fresh, SmackDown is set to deliver. Jey Uso opening the show will add even more intrigue as he addresses his WrestleMania 41 future.
