WWE SmackDown was packed with big moments on February 7, 2025, but Pretty Deadly had a rough night after making a glaring mistake on live TV.
During their promo in the first hour, Elton Prince and Kit Wilson were doing their usual over-the-top routine when Wilson made an unfortunate blunder. While trash-talking DIY, he accidentally referred to the SmackDown Tag Team Championships as the NXT Tag Team Championships, despite the fact that DIY hasnt held those belts in years.
Of all the help we given you to keep those NXT Tag Team Championships, Prince said. The awkward moment didnt go unnoticed. SmackDown GM Nick Aldis hit the stage and announced an impromptu match between Pretty Deadly and DIY.
The botch didnt derail the show, but fans online were quick to call out the slip-up. Some even joked that Pretty Deadly might still be stuck in their NXT mindset, while others wondered if this would be acknowledged on commentary next week.
Live TV isnt always forgiving, and this is just another example of how anything can happen on SmackDown.
