The wave of WWE departures isnt slowing down. Just shortly after Cedric Alexander and Paul Ellering were confirmed to be out, Akam and Rezar of Authors of Pain have now been released as well.

Fightful Select broke the news, confirming that WWE has officially parted ways with the powerhouse duo, making them the latest names cut from the company.

AOP was once a dominant force in NXT, capturing the NXT Tag Team Championships under the leadership of Paul Ellering. However, their main roster run fell short after WWE separated them from Ellering, a move many felt stunted their momentum. After a brief stint under Seth Rollins in 2020, the team was let go but later re-signed, only to now be released again.

With The Final Testament faction forming on SmackDown, speculation had been growing that AOP would be a part of the group. Instead, it looks like WWE has decided to move forward without them or their longtime manager.

At this point, its unclear whats next for Akam and Rezar, but this marks yet another chapter in their stop-and-start WWE career. With four names now confirmed gone from the company in one day, this could be just the beginning of another round of roster cuts.

Where do you think AOP will land next? Should they reunite with Ellering outside WWE, or do you see them making an impact elsewhere? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
