The WWE roster shake-up isnt slowing down, and another shocking name has just been added to the list.
Sonya Deville has officially been released by WWE, as confirmed by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select.
Deville, a former WWE Womens Tag Team Champion, had been sidelined for months after suffering a torn ACL in July 2023. Despite being away from in-ring action, she remained a major presence in WWE, previously serving as an on-screen authority figure and consistently reinventing herself throughout her career.
Her release comes just hours after Cedric Alexander, Paul Ellering, Akam, and Rezar were also cut from the company. With this latest exit, WWE has now parted ways with five talents in a single day, raising speculation that more names could be on the chopping block.
Deville first broke onto the scene during WWE Tough Enough before becoming a staple of the NXT and main roster womens divisions. She played a key role in Mandy Roses career, with their Fire & Desire tag team eventually leading to an intense rivalry in 2020. Later, she took on the role of WWE official, working closely with Adam Pearce before returning to full-time competition.
At this point, its unclear what Devilles next move will be, but her experience both in and out of the ring makes her a valuable name in the industry. Could she make a jump to AEW or TNA Wrestling, or will she take time to recover before making her next big move?
