Another WWE name is officially gone, as Isla Dawn announced her release on Instagram Stories, confirming that shes out and already looking ahead to her next move.
Dawn, who had been competing as part of Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn in WWE NXT before making the jump to the main roster, kept her announcement short and direct. Posting a photo, she wrote:
Here for a good time, not a long time. Then, in another caption within the same image, she added: See you in 90.
That message is a clear reference to WWEs standard 90-day non-compete clause, which means shell officially become a free agent in three months.
Dawn first made a name for herself in NXT UK, where she built up a reputation as a standout talent in the brands womens division. When NXT UK folded in 2022, she transitioned to NXT, where she formed a successful tag team with Alba Fyre.
The duo captured the NXT Womens Tag Team Championships, solidifying themselves as one of the divisions strongest teams. In April 2023, they were called up to SmackDown in the WWE Draft, but their momentum stalled when the womens tag titles were unified and ultimately retired later that year.
Dawns release adds yet another name to WWEs February 7 wave of cuts, which already included:
- Akam & Rezar (AOP)
- Paul Ellering
- Cedric Alexander
- Sonya Deville
- Blair Davenport
WWE has yet to comment on the reasoning behind these cuts, but internal rosters reportedly werent updated immediately, leading to speculation that more names could be released soon.
With WrestleMania season in full swing, these roster changes are turning heads, and fans are now wondering whats next for Dawn and the other released stars.
Given her experience and success in WWEs UK and NXT brands, Dawn will likely be on the radar of multiple promotions. Whether she heads to AEW, TNA, NJPW, or even back to the UK wrestling scene, shell have plenty of options when her non-compete clause expires in 90 days.
