WWE is in the mode to cut the roster as they hit the road to WrestleMania 41. We heard about a few releases last night, and that list has continued to grow as we got into Saturday.
Sean Ross Sapp has now reported that Giovanni Vinci has been released as well. This adds his name to a growing list that includes Isla Dawn, Blair Davenport, AOP, and Paul Ellering.
Giovanni Vinci was once a member of GUNTHERs Imperium faction, but things didnt click for him. Then he was repackaged in NXT for a while, but that gimmick didnt catch on. After he switched back to his Imperium gimmick, Ludwig Kaiser eventually kicked him to the curb with GUNTHERs approval, and despite an attempt to bring him back under a new character, he was quickly removed from television.
Giovanni Vinci last competed in WWE on December 13, 2024, in a dark match on Friday Night SmackDown, where he lost to Luke Gallows. The Good Brothers were also cut in the same list of names.
We will have to see what Giovanni Vinci does next. He certainly kept trying any gimmick he was given, so he may finally find his place in the pro wrestling world outside WWE.
Giovanni Vinci exit comes after Isla Dawn confirmed her release from WWE, adding her name to a growing list that already includes:
