Drew McIntyre wasted no time making in impact during the February 7th edition of Friday Night SmackDown as he beat LA Knight and Jimmy Uso to qualify for the Mens Elimination Chamber match. Unsurprisingly, he called out John Cena for politicking his way into the Elimination Chamber match as well.
Drew McIntyre took to Twitter and uploaded a video of himself in an interview after SmackDown, where McIntyre talked about his victory. He said all he needed was a fair chance instead of dealing with surprise attacks and interference. He also mentioned the backstage politics and drama on RAW, calling it a hard place for anyone trying to be honest like he was.
McIntyre made it clear that he wouldnt talk his way into the Elimination Chamber or use his influence like John Cena and called out Cena for the same. Instead, he wanted to earn his spot the right way by working hard and beating two of WWEs top stars. He praised Jimmy Usos effort and pointed out that even though LA Knight tried to take his spot, he still won. In the end, McIntyre said it was a great night for him.
This comes after John Cena announced his entryinto the Mens Elimination Chamber match following his failure to win the Mens Royal Rumble match, as Jey Uso would win the match instead.
Well have to wait and see if The Scottish Warrior can win the Elimination Chamber again this year and secure his spot at WrestleMania 41. He already won last years Chamber match and has had success on WWEs biggest stage before, so he already knows what to do in the end.
Do you think John Cena should have had to qualify for the match like everyone else? Should Drew McIntyre be the favorite heading into the Elimination Chamber? Let us know in the comments below.
