Josh Alexanders time in TNA Wrestling is almost up, and with free agency just days away, hes opening up about whats next. His contract officially expires on February 15, 2025, and while speculation runs wild about his future, Alexander is letting his agents handle the business side.
Appearing on Straight Talk Wrestling, Alexander admitted that navigating free agency is completely new territory for him. I have secured agents to handle all of this for me. I am very privileged to have some of the best agents in pro wrestling representing me through these conversations because its something that is completely foreign to me, he explained.
Alexander revealed that he doesnt even know the full details of the negotiations happening behind the scenes. They dont tell me much. They treat this very much like professional sports. There is no tampering, there is none of this stuff going on. They dont want to tell me figures and numbers. It has been driving me crazy, he admitted.
Despite the uncertainty, hes confident that hell be in a good position. Ive had friends and family asking me all these questions. All I can tell you is, Im going to be okay. Thats what Ive been told, Alexander said.
With WWE, AEW, and even a possible TNA return on the table, Alexander is keeping an open mind. Could I go back? Yes. Ive said it many times, that is not off the table. I have left it in their hands to come to me with an offer. If they do, Ill be very happy to entertain that. Its all about what I want to do next and whats best for my family and what excites me.
Alexander has developed a passion for storytelling in wrestling and wants his next move to give him the opportunity to continue that. Its not just dream matches and working with certain people. Ive really gotten into telling stories. Television wrestling is completely different from the independents, and Ive been very privileged in TNA to tell amazing stories. I want to tell more stories.
