Romanian tennis player Timea Babos didn't name Jelena Ostapenko in a cryptic Instagram post but it definitely looked like she was calling out the Latvian when stating that some players are "so fake and disrespectful."

On Thursday, the 2017 French Open champion and her doubles partner Ellen Perez beat Babos and Nicole Melichar-Martinez 6-4 6-4 in the Abu Dhabi quarterfinal.

But the match didn't go without some drama that led to the match finishing on a tense note.

As the players were switching sides by the chair, the Hungarian and her American partner were making their way onto the court when Ostapenko appeared to move ahead of them.

The doubles duo stopped - the Latvian continued her way - and that's when they said something to the Latvian, who responded to them.

"Some players are just sooo fake and disrespectful," Babos wrote on her Instagram Story.

"I don't care how good they are or how well they hit the ball; they just have to have respect and manners."

Perez sheds light on what happened: I guess they weren't happy with Ostapenko

Following the Hungarian's Instagram post, fans instantly started wondering whether she was annoyed with the Latvian or the Australian.

However, the majority believed that she was talking about the 2017 French Open winner.

"On one of the changeovers, we got up to switch sides, and Niki and Timea were about to go first, and [Jelena] went, and I guess it made Timea stop and wait," Perez explained in a response to one person.

"As we were switching sides, Timea said, Yeah, you're welcome'.

"Then from there, Jelena was fired up with C'mons. Thats all, honestly (shrugging shoulders emoji)."

Meanwhile, Perez and Ostapenko went on to win the Abu Dhabi doubles title after ousting Kristina Mladenovic and Zhang Shuai 6-2 6-1 in the final.
