The trade between the Charlotte Hornets and Los Angeles Lakers for Mark Williams has been rescinded, the Lakers announced on Saturday night.
The Lakers say the trade was rescinded because of the Hornets' failure to satisfy a condition of the trade.
L.A. had agreed to send Dalton Knecht, Cam Reddish, a 2031 unprotected first-round pick and a 2030 pick swap to the Hornets for Williams in a deal that was first reported late Wednesday night.
The trade had never been made official, with Williams missing the Lakers' win Saturday due to the deal having still been "pending," according to coach JJ Redick.
