Giovanni Vinci has officially spoken out following his WWE release. After days of speculation about his future, the former Imperium member took to social media on February 9, 2025, to share his reaction to being let go.

Posting on Twitter, Vinci simply wrote, Thank you for everything! @WWE, along with a heartfelt image expressing his gratitude to the WWE Universe and his colleagues. Thank you to the WWE Universe, @WWE, and everyone I had the pleasure of working with.

Vincis release was part of WWEs latest wave of roster cuts, which also saw the departures of Isla Dawn, Blair Davenport, Akam & Rezar (AOP), Paul Ellering, Cedric Alexander, Sonya Deville, and The Good Brothers. However, new reports suggest WWE once had a major creative plan in place for Vinci that never came to fruition.

According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, Vinci was originally supposed to debut a rich playboy gimmick, but the idea never made it to television. Meltzer noted, Was told they had a great idea for him doing the rich playboy gimmick. Oh well.

Vincis WWE run was filled with start-and-stop booking. After being introduced as part of GUNTHERs Imperium, he was later booted from the group by Ludwig Kaiser. WWE attempted to repackage him, but when that plan stalled, Vinci was pulled from TV entirely.

Vincis next move remains unclear. With his in-ring ability and past experience, he could be a valuable asset to promotions like AEW, NJPW, or even a return to TNA

With WWE still making roster changes, its uncertain whether more cuts are on the way. Do you think WWE should have done more with Vinci? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
