Australian golf star, Cameron Smith, just like his colleagues, is excited about the announcement of The Open Championship that LIV Golfers will be eligible to participate in this competition. Namely, the officials of this tournament have confirmed that the top five golfers from LIV Golf will have a place at this Major after the end of the Dallas tournament in June.
The 31-year-old golfer was primarily a little frustrated in his interview with the media, considering that this had not happened before, but he was excited that some changes had taken place. Smith believes that many golfers from the controversial league deserved to be part of major competitions, but unfortunately, nothing concrete has happened until now.

The Australian points out that playing at LIV Golf is challenging, especially when you take into account the competition. There are many famous faces in this league, such as Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau, Phil Mickelson, Jon Rahm and many others. Smith has high hopes for LIV, stressing that such changes are a positive thing for golf.
Its hard to win out here and its hard to compete and I think we have the strongest fields in golf week in and week out. I think it will be the best thing for the game.- he continued.
