The WTA didn't reveal much details when confirming Stefano Vukov's ban but a report from The Athletic shared some interesting insider details, including evidence that the star player and her coach were romantically linked.

On Tuesday, it was confirmed that the investigation into the Croatian coach concluded and that he was found guilty of breaching the code of conduct policy.

However, the WTA didn't say much - what they exactly found, how long of a suspension the coach received, or anything in what the public was really interested.

"Following this process, the suspension remains in place," the statement read.

"To protect the confidentiality and integrity of the investigation and its findings, the WTA will not provide further details.

"We remain committed to ensuring that all matters are handled in a fair and objective manner in accordance with the WTA Code of Conduct."

The Athletic reveals what happened in the Rybakina-Vukov situation

Hours after the WTA statement dropped, The Athletic published an article, revealing some of the details from the investigation.

According to the report, Vukov was found guilty of mentally abusing the 25-year-old but also pushing her beyond her physical limits.

Also, the 37-year-old coach allegedly refused to leave Rybakina alone after they ended their partnership at the US Open, although he was already banned from the WTA.

The report also stated that there is evidence that suggests the two are in "a romantic relationship" since they stayed together in the same hotel room in Melbourne during this past Australian Open.

Meanwhile, the 2022 Wimbledon champion claimed throughout the entire process that she was "never mistreated" by Vukov.

Today, Rybakina plays against Rebecca Sramkova in the Doha round-of-16.
