Jannik Sinner's rise has caused a big shake-up on the men's tour, which has found a new leader capable of being competitive throughout the season. The world number 1 has reached a consistency that has no equal among current players and not even Carlos Alcaraz can come close to him in the ATP ranking.
Alexander Zverev is probably the most regular player after Jannik, but he is not able to touch the same peaks as the Italian ace as the final of the 2025 Australian Open recently demonstrated. The 23-year-old from Sesto Pusteria has won the last three Major tournaments played on hard courts and if he improves further on red clay and grass he could really aspire to achieve the 'Calendar Grand Slam' in the near future.

After triumphing at Melbourne Park late last month, the 3-time Grand Slam champion rested for a few days before resuming practice in Monte Carlo. The world No.1 who failed to defend his title in Rotterdam last week has already flown to Doha, where he will compete in the prestigious ATP 500 next week.
Barazzutti pays tribute to Sinner
In recent months, fans and insiders have been wondering how far Jannik can go. In a long interview with 'La Nacion', former Italian champion Corrado Barazzutti spent beautiful words for Sinner: "We are facing an alien. He is playing at the same level as legends like Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.
The problem is that the other players are not at his level, at least for the moment. Alcaraz when he plays well is the only one who can create problems for him. However unlike the Spaniard Jannik has no ups and downs during the season."
