World No. 26 Ekaterina Alexandrova continues her impressive run at the WTA 1000 tournament in Doha after creating another big comeback to beat No. 6 seed Jessica Pegula 4-6 6-1 6-1.
In the first set, the American blew an early break but got another one in the fifth game before serving out for the opener in the 10th game.
But instead of getting discouraged, the world No. 26 put it in another gear and easily won the second set with breaks in the second and sixth games.
After sending the match into a decider, Alexandrova saved an early break point to level the third set to one game apiece.
Then, she claimed back-to-back breaks in the third and fifth games and finished the match on a six-game run.
Now, the Russian awaits the winner of the match between Marta Kostyuk and Amanda Anisimova.

Alexandrova has now beaten two high-seeded players
After ousting Emma Raducanu in the first round, the 30-year-old also pulled off an impressive 3-6 6-3 7-6 (5) comeback against top-seeded Aryna Sabalenka.
Did you expect to be in the final four here? the interviewer asked the Russian after her win over Pegula.
She funnily but also honestly responded: Probably not. When I saw the draw I thought... (shrugs shoulders)."
For Alexandrova, this was her eighth consecutive win.
Before coming to the Qatar Open, the former world No. 15 won the WTA 500 tournament in Linz.
