Just days before AEW Grand Slam Australia, a major addition has been confirmedRing of Honor Global Wars is making its long-awaited return.
The historic ROH event, which last took place in 2019, will now be part of AEWs trip to Brisbane on February 15. Several championship matches have been announced, making this a major moment for ROH in Australia.
ROH Womens World Champion Athena will put her near 800-day title reign on the line against Alex Windsor, who is making her ROH debut. Windsor has been dominant in the UK scene, but dethroning Athena would be a massive statement.
ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty is also set to defend his title against Robbie Eagles, a member of TMDK and an Australia native. This will be Eagles first ROH match since July 2024, and the home crowd will undoubtedly be behind him as he looks to capture the gold.
ROH World Tag Team Champions The Sons of Texas (Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara) will put their belts on the line against MxM Collection, while Chris Jericho leads The Learning Tree (Bryan Keith & Big Bill) against Bandido & The Outrunners in trios action.
Its assumed these matches will air on ROH Honor Club, making this the first Global Wars event under the AEW ownership era.
With Global Wars returning and AEW Grand Slam Australia already a major talking point, this trip is shaping up to be a defining moment for both AEW and ROH.
