Mercedes Mone has been very successful since joining AEW last year and is seen as the top star in the womens division. Many fans want her to face the best wrestlers in the business, but she wont say who she wants AEW to sign since the CEO thinks that if she names them, WWE might sign them first.
A fan took to Twitter and praised Mercedes Mone for improving AEWs womens division, especially in her current feud with Harley. They then asked her, as The CEO, which wrestlers she would like to bring to AEW.
Mercedes Mone responded to the fan, stating that if she named the wrestlers she wanted in AEW, WWE would sign them instead, referring to WWE as the other place, which is exactly why she has no intention of naming any talent, saying, If I listed the people I wanted in AEW The other place would sign them.
There is certainly truth to what Mercedes Mone had to say as WWE has been determined to sign as many top free agents and talent from the indies and other companies as possible.
Mone remains focused on her feud with Harley Cameron, but its clear she has long-term plans to grow AEWs womens division. With AEW All In Texas and other major events coming up, fans will be watching to see if any big names eventually join AEWs roster and not make their way to WWE.
