Fans were absolutely shocked afterit was reported that WWE quietly released Duke Hudson from his contract last week. He was a major part of Chase University and now he has revealed the original plans for Chase University breaking up.

Duke Hudson took to Twitter and uploaded the second part of his self-interview. Duke Hudson, wearing a black shirt, talked about how he was supposed to betray Chase University instead of Ridge Holland. He said that things could have turned out very differently if he had gone through with it.

Wearing a white shirt, Duke said he never wanted to turn on Chase U. He loved the University and believed in it. For two years, they were the heart and soul of the show. They won championships, got action figures, and were even put in video games.

Back in the black shirt, Duke argued that they deserved more. He felt they were held back by an invisible ceiling. If they had turned on the University as originally planned, maybe things would be different. He believed that maybe there wouldnt be a reason to sit around and feel sorry for themselves. He pointed out that others, like Charlie Dempsey, Jacy Jayne, and Ridge Holland benefited from Chase Us hard work.

In the white shirt, Duke warned that if things got too personal, he was done with the conversation, saying, If you start taking shots, Im out. The black shirt Duke pushed back, saying there was no reason to hold back now. It was time to dig deep and face the truth, as he said, What do you mean? What else are we here for? Grab that shovel and start digging.

The white shirt Duke got frustrated, saying this was exactly why things ended up the way they didbecause the other side of him never knew when to stay quiet, saying, Okay, this is why we are where we are. You could never keep your big mouth shut.

The black shirt Duke fired back, saying the problem wasnt speaking upit was staying silent when it mattered, as he said, I didnt? You didnt speak up enough!

The white shirt Duke admitted they were never the chosen ones. They werent allowed to make mistakes or step out of line. They werent given the same chances as others to fail and still move up.

Finally, the black shirt Duke called him out, saying he knew all along but still gave up and stopped trying, as he said, Alright, so you admit it. You knew. You stopped trying and gave up. The video ended with them almost coming to blows and then just leaving.

Ridge Holland was the one who turned on Chase University and turned heel in the process back at No Mercy. Therefore, fans now wonder just how different things would have been had Hudson been the one to betray the group instead.

With Hudson now a free agent, it will be interesting to see whats next for him. His ability to cut passionate promos, even after his release, has impressed fans, and many believe he could thrive in AEW, TNA, or the independent scene.

Do you think WWE made the right call switching the storyline? Would Duke Hudson have been a top heel in NXT? Let me know your thoughts!
