It looks like fans hoping for WWE to finally bring WrestleMania to the UK are in for a long wait. Despite constant speculation and major demand overseas, sources within WWE reportedly dont expect a WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia or the UK until at least 2028.
According to Fightful Select, theres no indication that WWE is shifting its plans anytime soon. While international locations have been rumored for years, sources say the company remains committed to keeping WrestleMania in the U.S. for the foreseeable future. While Saudi Arabia continues to be a key business partner for WWE, hosting WrestleMania there isnt on the table for now.
Meanwhile, WrestleMania 42 appears to be heading back to a familiar spot. WrestleVotes reported that WWE is set to officially announce its next destination soon, and sources indicate New Orleans is locked in as the frontrunner. Multiple WWE partners have already been told that The Big Easy is the plan, barring any last-minute changes.
If finalized, this will mark the third time New Orleans has hosted WrestleMania. The city previously held the event in 2014 and 2018, delivering some of the most memorable moments in WWE history. Daniel Bryans miracle title win and The Undertakers shocking loss to Brock Lesnar are still talked about to this day.
While UK fans will have to keep waiting for their WrestleMania moment, WWEs latest decision continues to focus on U.S. stadiums. Whether that changes down the line remains to be seen, but for now, it looks like the UK dream is at least a few years away.
