AEWs first show in Australia, AEW Grand Slam: Australia, is about to start in an hour. Fans are already lining up at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. However, some fans have had their signs taken away before the show, which is obviously something no one could have expected.

A fan took to Twitter and revealed that their signs were taken away before entering the arena for AEW Grand Slam. They revealed what their signs said after having them confiscated at the entrance, as the fan said, Since all my signs got confiscated at the entrance, heres what I had for #AEWGrandSlam. The signs that were confiscated included Remake John Woos Stranglehold, Flew Here to See RJ City, Wheres Silksong? and Rip Her Tits Off.

Another fan asked why the signs were confiscated in the first place, saying, Whyd they got confiscated? Arena specific rules or just discrimination? The fan responded that it was likely due to the rules at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre but he was not given a heads-up in advance.

The Fan also added that many people in the lines were very upset over this as well, saying, Arena rules I guess but zero heads up in advance. Tons of folks very upset in the lines.

The incident has led to a lot of discussion among AEW fans. Some understand the venues possible reasons, while others think it was unfair without prior notice. As AEW expands internationally, fan engagement and venue rules will obviously be given more importance, but we do hope signs arent confiscated again in the future.

Were the sign confiscations justified, or should AEW and the venue have communicated the rules more clearly? Share your thoughts in the comments below and let us know if youve ever had a similar experience at a live event!
