Nick Kyrgios wasn't impressed with Jack Draper and Lorenzo Sonego defending Jannik Sinner as the Australian bluntly suggested that if the Italian was so innocent, then how did a banned substance get into his body.

After months of drama and speculating about what would happen with the three-time Grand Slam champion, the uncertainty surrounding his doping case officially ended over the weekend after the WADA announced that they settled on a three-month suspension.

Since the start of 2024, Sinner has been the best player in the world and has won three out of the last Grand Slams.

And Draper believes tennis is suffering without its top-ranked player.

"I dont think its good for sport that the world #1 and someone who is doing incredible things is having a ban but he will be back shortly & I wish him all the best," the Briton said.

After noticing that statement, Kyrgios bluntly reacted by saying: "Then dont have steroids in your system?"

Kyrgios also dismissed Sonego's defense of Sinner

Addressing the high-profile doping case, Sonego suggested that negative opinion receive more attention than positive ones before claiming that the majority of the players support the 23-year-old.

"I think that in general some negative judgements resonate much more than praise," the world No. 36 said.

"But I'm sure that most tennis players are with Jannik. Because they know very well that tomorrow exactly the same thing could happen to them."

Responding to that one, Kyrgios pretty much described those as nothing else but someone defending his friend.

"I completely understand friendship- but my team and I make sure we dont have steroids in our camp," the 2022 Wimbledon runner-up wrote.
