Ricky Starks made a surprise debut on the February 11 episode of NXT, catching fans off guard. His arrival came shortly after AEW removed him from their roster page, fueling speculation about his next move.
At Vengeance Day, Starks made his presence felt as he announced that he will sign his NXT contract on the February 18 episode. That was a segment worth paying attention to as the revolution was about to be televised.
This contract signing kicked off the second hour of the show this week. It was a busy night of NXT, and Ricky Starks signing was a huge highlight. The Absolute One made his way out to a big ovation from the crowd this week. He couldnt wait to join the NXT roster, and Ava introduced him as the hottest free agent around.
Ricky Starks wanted to get some things off his chest before he signed his deal. He said that making it in NXT isnt a dream, its a reality. He said that maineventing every NXT PLE is reality, and so is winning the NXT Championship. He proclaimed that he is the man in NXT, and he is going to do what he does always to the best of his ability, show up and show out, because the revolution begins.
Suddenly, Ethan Page made his way out to interrupt Ricky Starks big signing. Page said hes impressed by Starks shocking the world, because somewhere in Starks contract says he will get an NXT Title. All Ego then said that Starks got an Ethan Page contract. Starks then said that the spotlight isnt big enough for the both of them. Then he threw shade at Pages tight jacket while calling him insecure.
Ricky Starks made a comment about how Ethan Page beat Jevon Evans at Vengeance Day. Then Page shaded Evans before the Bouncy Superstar jumped in the ring to take Page out of the ring as they brawled. Wes Lee came out next to stop Ricky Starks from signing his deal. Lee said that there are rules in NXT, and one of them is that you dont disrespect him, and then he demanded a match against Starks.
Ricky Starks asked if everyone is so angry there, and they booked a match for Starks and Wes Lee for next week. Then Starks signed his deal as Wes Lee tried to jump him, but Starks sent him out of the ring instead. He signed his contract, and now his new name is Ricky Saints.
We will have to see what Ricky Saints does in NXT, but this was quite a way to start things for him. He has a new name and a new company to take over.
