In the last twelve months, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have become the two new leaders of the men's tour, proving that they have an edge over all their opponents. The Italian and the Spaniard have won the last five Grand Slam tournaments played and their rivalry has already reached impressive heights, although they have never faced each other in a Major final yet.

The 23-year-old from Sesto Pusteria has improved incredibly in the last year and a half, becoming almost unstoppable on hard courts and maintaining a consistency worthy of the best players in the history of tennis.
Jannik's numbers from January 2024 until today are truly exceptional and his 2025 began with victory at the Australian Open, after demolishing current world number 2 Alexander Zverev in the final.
After reaching an agreement with WADA, the world number 1 will have to sit out for three months and will make his return to the Rome Masters 1000 in May.
Carlitos, on the other hand, does not have the same regularity as his huge rival during the year, but his game is so complete and his peaks are so high that he has already won four Grand Slam titles and five Masters 1000.

Verdasco on Sinner andAlcaraz
In a recent interview with 'L'Equipe', Fernando Verdasco who played doubles in Doha with Novak Djokovic this week spoke about these two young champions who will dominate tennis in the next decade: "Sinner and Alcaraz have achieved a status similar to that of Roger, Rafa and Nole in my time. They are superior to other players. They can lose a few matches during the year, but you can clearly see that they have something more. They are the top favorites in every tournament they play, especially in the Slams."
Verdasco made an interesting prediction about Carlitos: "I am often asked if he can match Nadal's number of Major titles.
You don't need to be a genius to understand that it is almost impossible for him to win 22 Slams. To succeed in this unreal feat, he would have to win 2-3 Majors every year.
