Ricky Saints made his debut on the February 11 episode of NXT, surprising both fans and wrestlers. His arrival happened just days after AEW removed him from their roster page. Saints has a lot to prove to his doubters, and thats why it comes as no surprise he has denied claims that he is difficult to work with in wrestling.
While speaking on Busted Open After Dark, Ricky Saints was asked if he felt misunderstood in wrestling. Saints stated he is a very passionate person, and some people dont know how to handle that. When they see his energy and arent ready for it, they misunderstand him and call him difficult.
Saints explained that people say things about him that arent true, but once they actually talk to him and understand his side, everything makes sense. He believes that most problems come from a lack of explanation. If someone is seen as having bad behavior, he feels that explaining their actions can change that view. The same goes for being called difficultonce people understand the reasons behind it, their opinion might change.
Saints added that being misunderstood in wrestling is terrible, but he wont let others decide how he should see himself. He is proud of what he has done and what he will achieve in the future. He believes he has worked hard and deserves to be confident.
Reflecting on his experiences, he mentioned that even on the independent scene, he dealt with people who tried to hold him back, but he didnt let negativity affect him. Saints encourages others to believe in themselves and not let anyone tell them to tone down their confidence.
Ricky Saints has started his NXT career and wants to prove his critics wrong. Next week, he will team up with JeVon Evans to face Ethan Page and Wes Lee in a tag team match. Fans are excited to see how he does in his first match, as he is 100% determined to become a big star in NXT.
