Drew McIntyre went into Friday Night SmackDown on February 21 far from 100%, and now we know just how bad things were for him before the match.

The former WWE Champion posted a shocking update on Instagram Stories, revealing that he had to get fluid drained from his knee just 45 minutes before stepping into the ring against Jimmy Uso.

McIntyre shared footage of the procedure, showing a needle extracting fluid from his swollen knee. Over the video, he wrote, This is my knee being drained of liquid 45 minutes before my match. Wish me luck.

Despite pushing through the pain, McIntyre ended up losing to Jimmy Uso in the opening match of SmackDown. While the exact nature of his knee injury remains unclear, the fact that he needed a procedure just before wrestling raises serious concerns about his condition heading into WrestleMania 41.
