There is no longer any doubt that Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz will be the two benchmarks of the men's tour for at least the next decade. The Italian ace has had a truly impressive rise in the last year and a half, in which he has won three Slams and four Masters 1000 becoming world number 1 with full merit.

The Spaniard on the other hand has less consistency than the Italian during the year, but he became the youngest ever to win Roland Garros and Wimbledon in the same season. In addition, the 21-year-old from Murcia won the silver medal at the Paris Olympics last summer and was world No. 1 for 36 weeks.
Although they have never faced each other in a Grand Slam final yet, the rivalry between these two young champions has already reached impressive heights with some truly epic challenges (such as the quarterfinals of the 2022 US Open and the semifinal of the 2023 Miami Open, not forgetting the final of the 2024 Beijing ATP 500).
Are the Big 3's records in danger?
Fans around the world are wondering if Jannik and Carlitos can aspire to win the same number of Majors as legends like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.

In his press conference after the last match of his career in Doha, Fernando Verdasco tried to answer this question: "I don't know if people realize how hard it is to win even one Grand Slam title every year. Sinner and Alcaraz are still very young and have a lot of time ahead of them. If you had asked me 20 years ago if Djokovic would win 24 Grand Slam titles, I would have said it was impossible.
I would have given the same answer if I had been asked the question about Rafa. Yet both have succeeded. Records are made to be broken. As a Spaniard, I hope Carlos wins as much as possible."
The 21-year-old from Murcia is only missing the Australian Open to complete the list of Grand Slam titles won.
